Brief Introduction
Established in 1989, Paba is the first branch of Swami Debananda Ashram. Headed by a saffron-clad monk, it is a centre of spiritual growth for devotees from the nearby villages, regularly arranging a string of spiritual programmes like puja, prayer, meditation, naamgaan, brata-palan, japa-yajna, dibyasanga and atmacharcha. His Holiness visits this branch from time to time to give darshan to the devotees.
Major Annual Festivals / Celebrations
The annual festival is held on Maghi Purnima in the divine presence of His Holiness, when hundreds of people enjoy cultural programmes and listen to Gurudev's discourse. Durga Puja is also held every year in the village, bringing four days of joy and celebration to Paba and the neighbouring villages.
Seva Activities
Swami Debananda Mission runs a school, Swami Debananda Vidyamandir, with an attached computer centre. The Mission also runs a Charitable Dispensary, and organises Blood Donation camps, Eye Screening camps and other Health Care camps throughout the year.
