Brief Introduction

Located in a quiet locality, the ashram has a beautiful dhuni mandir on the first floor and rooms for devotees who wish to stay overnight for sadhana. A strict daily routine is followed, and devotees regularly join the prayer, meditation, naamgaan, brata-palan, japa-yajna, dibyasanga and atmacharcha. His Holiness also gives darshan to the devotees here from time to time.

Major Annual Festivals / Celebrations

The annual festival is held on Shivratri. It runs for three days, beginning with the hoisting of the flag of renunciation and ending with dhulot, and hundreds of devotees gather to receive the blessings of Gurudev. Saraswati Puja, Janmastami, and Jagaddhatri Puja are also celebrated here.

Seva Activities

Swami Debananda Mission runs Sathe Achi, a Reach-out Unit that delivers mid-day meals to the doorsteps of the invalid and the indigent, currently serving 215 people. It also runs a Charitable Dispensary and the Swami Debananda Academy of Fine and Performing Arts, where around 107 students currently learn music, dance, recitation, yoga, tabla, drawing and spoken English. Lessons on the Bhagavad Gita are also imparted at this centre. Blood Donation and other Health Care camps are also organised here.
