Brief Introduction

The headquarters of Swami Debananda Ashram and the main office of the Ashram Trust. Away from the noise of city life and surrounded by greenery, it has a majestic dhuni mandir, an underground meditation hall, and the shaded Panchabati (assemblage of five trees) where Gurudev delivers His discourses. Several monks and lay devotees serve here.

Major Annual Festivals / Celebrations

Every year on 1st January the ashram holds the Mahamilan Utsav, a three-day festival celebrating Dibya Chetana Divas, the Day of Divine Enlightenment. Lakhs of people gather to receive the blessings of His Holiness and listen to His discourse. Akshay Tritiya, the Birth Anniversary of His Holiness, Guru Purnima, and Mahalaya are a few major festivals celebrated here. Like all other branches of Swami Debananda Ashram located in West Bengal, this ashram also celebrates Durga Puja in the divine presence of His Holiness, Sadguru Swami Debananda Maharaj.

Seva Activities

Swami Debananda Mission runs a school here, Swami Debananda Vidyamandir, which offers value-based quality education to students from the surrounding villages. The Mission also runs a computer centre, a Charitable Dispensary named “Arogyaniketan”, Swami Debananda Eye Day Care Centre and an Ambulance Service, and organises Blood Donation camps, Eye Screening camps and other Health Care camps throughout the year.
